It’s been too long…much too long.

things at uprm.net are slow, no one reads it, no one writes on it, and the feeling futility i feel writing this is painful. but, to those of you who aren’t even there (that’s healthy, isn’t it?) things are looking up.

Salem Studio Flatts recording studios will soon be moving to thier new diggs at Front House Studios. MAD Audio, under Jakes close supervision is building a dedicated client base. and there are rumblings, oh yes, of the NEW LOCATION FOR THE UPPER ROOM. prematurity is the mother of all jinxes, so i will tell no more, BUT stay tuned and you will be amazed.

the dawn will come and the long cold night will be over, the phoenix will rise and the Trog-Dor will come in the night.

Hey check it out we are not all dead. I don’t know if anyone even checks this site anymore, but it has been forever since we posted anything at all. To answer some questions that i have gotten from some of you Jake did not go crazy and get locked up in a mental home, Greg did not blow himself up in a well fire, and I did not empty my bank account and run off to an uncharted island. If you have come to this site though looking for some news, here it is Jake has a new thing going on now called MADD AUDIO, if you need a sound system built or installed or you just need to rent one email him at Jake@uprm.net. If you are a band and are looking for gigs, let me or jake know about that too. That is all for now, but not for ever.

Last night was it, the end… not the end as in it is, “All Over”, just the end as in the end of a chapter, or the end of the first movie in a trilogy. We had the last show ever at The Upper Room, and I think we sent her home fittingly. All the bands last night played amazing sets and I would personally like to thank them and all of the other bands that have ever played at our tiny little hole in the wall venue out in the sticks. At the end of the night the very people that kept uprm up and running,The Sound Guys, took the stage. They were the last group to ever stand upon the stage and play, that is the only way that seemed right. I want to think everyone out there who helped make The Upper Room, everyone who supported us and all of the great bands that brought us their gift of music. However as I stated before, it is only the end of a chapter, we have big plans in the works, there will be another place to play soon, keep your eyes open and your ears to the ground, it is coming…. be ready.
Goodbye from this Upper Room

We here at UPRM are preparing a huge summer concert. That is right we are going to have six killer bands, and for one time, and probably the last time ever the sound guy band will perform live on stage. After July 9th, however the guys and I will be taking our talents to other outlets, moving on, and exploring new things. There is a lot about to go down so keep your ear to the ground and your eyes open wide.
